Vijay Deverakonda is a self-made star. From extremely humble beginnings to Rowdy Boy, he grew leaps and bounds. However, in a recent interview, he addressed the debate about how an actor from an established film background has the chance to rise big, but someone like him who has no background has always struggled. The comments went viral, and everyone perceived it as Vijay’s take on nepotism.
A section of people found his statements wrong as Vijay can not be talking all this, especially when he is in a big stage. People think that he was talking about the situation where he had already become a star. But, during the film’s press meet, Vijay issued a clarification over the same, stating that he was just talking about the advantage that the people have in such a context.
“Not just actors but be it actors or any profession for that matter, the fathers or the background helps them to choose better and perform better. It is not a burden but blessing. I was just trying to say the same,” said Vijay, adding that the journalists sitting there would also be easily guiding their children if they wanted to become journalists again.
Having said that, he also acknowledged the fact that his brother Anand Deverakonda now has the advantage of being his brother.
On the other hand, his film Kingdom is hitting the screens tomorrow. Gautham Tinnanuri is the director of the film.
