IPL Legend Humiliated And Made To Cry!

The IPL is one of the biggest sporting events across the globe and is certainly the biggest cricket tournament in the country. So naturally, the biggest superstars in cricket enjoy unconditional following in their respective IPL franchises. 

One such legendary and iconic player in the IPL is Chris Gayle, who was previously with RCB and Punjab Kings. Incidentally, Gayle has commented about the time when he was absolutely humiliated to the degree that he had to cry out out of discomfort.

Chris Gayle revealed that he was absolutely humiliated during his time with the Punjab Kings franchise as he was treated like a small player and his seniority wasn’t respected. 

“I was treated very badly by the coach, Anil Kumar and management at Punjab Kings. They had no respect for my seniority or what I had done to the league. I got on a call with Anil Kumble once and cried. Due to the amount of discomfort I was put through.” Gayle revealed. 

While Chris Gayle did not reveal any single incident that bothered him so much, he gave the implication that his entire treatment at the franchise was very fragile and hurting. He even revealed that mistreatment was the reason why he left the IPL despite the efforts of the then Punjab Captain KL Rahul who tried to convince him.

At one point during the 2021 season Punjab Kings was so very ruthless with Chris Gayle that they left him out of several games. This could possibly be the reason why the iconic IPL player was so disgusted and even cried in front of his coach.
