India Beats Sri Lanka, But…

India is the only team in the ongoing season of the Asia Cup tournament to not lose a single game till now. However, they came to losing this streak in the game against Sri Lanka last night.

Batting first, India scored 202 runs and set a pretty significant target of 203 runs to Sri Lanka. In response, Sri Lanka was very compact with the bat as they put up a mega partnership of 127 runs for the second wicket.

In the end, Sri Lanka also ended up getting 202 runs and the match got tied. Subsequently, this tied result necessitated a super over. And this was precisely when India showed why they are a champion team as they confined Lanka to just 2 runs.

Shortly after, India completed the game on the opening delivery of the super over as captain Surya Kumar Yadav was very clinical with the bat.

India is now the only team to have not lost a single game in the Asia Cup tournament. However, the poor bowling performance just before the final against Pakistan is a point of worry.
