However, Rohit Sharma continues to be the official captain of the ODI team as he hadn’t moved away from the squad officially yet.
In this context, the latest developments are suggesting that the BCCI has called Rohit Sharma for a crucial meeting to decide on his captaincy position.
A crucial team selection meeting is going to happen tomorrow and the current captain Rohit Sharma is going to be the focal figure of the same. Though he is not an active part of the team, Rohit is still the Captain on paper and this could be decided in the meeting tomorrow.
Considering the fact that the team management has decided to go with younger players like Hardik and Shubman Gill as the captain choices, Rohit’s involvement with the team henceforth could be up for discussion.
