Another Shocking Disappointment From Indian Legend

The much-awaited comeback of Virat Kohli is turning out to be a disaster. After getting out for an eight-ball duck in the first ODI, Virat got out for a four-ball duck in the second ODI. Rumors are already circulating that he may be sacked from the ODI team if he fails to participate in domestic games. This poor comeback performance is now further worrying his fans and strengthening the rumors of him exiting ODIs soon.

Already, Virat retired from T20Is last year, having won the T20 World Cup. When selectors showed no interest in picking him for the Test series against England earlier this year, Virat announced a sudden retirement from the Tests too. He wanted to play the 2027 ODI World Cup at least and end his career on a high. 

However, selectors have presumably told him to participate in domestic cricket regularly to be considered for the ODI team. Reportedly, they also wanted to check Virat and Rohit’s performance in the ODI series against Australia. Much to everyone’s disappointment, his performance turned out to be a disaster with consecutive ducks.

Moreover, Adelaide Oval is one of Virat’s favorite grounds. Thus, people assumed he would perform well here. But all their expectations went in vain. If Virat fails in the third ODI too, then there are high chances of him silently quitting ODIs too, say the sources. Thus, fans are expecting him to make a strong comeback at least in the final ODI on Sunday.

Coming back to the ongoing game, Team India was asked to bat first and scored 29/2 in 10 overs. Rohit Sharma (19) and Shreyas Iyer (0) are in the crease.
