Just a couple of months ago, team India former captain Rohit Sharma faced several complaints and social media trolls about his looks. After a picture of him, arriving at the Mumbai airport went viral, there were several trolls on Rohit for his fat appearance.
Many people said Rohit Sharma is not even fit enough to be a part of the Indian team as he has put on a lot of weight and it is better to give his place to some other youngster.
However, less than couple of months since this online narrative against Rohit, he has delivered big time in the ongoing ODI series against Australia.
Rohit was absolutely phenomenal with the bat in the second and third ODI games as he scored 73 and 121 respectively. Rohit regained his vintage form in the ODI series, and he was absolutely untouchable with the bat.
From being trolled for his fat looks a couple of months ago, Rohit has now reached a point where he is on top of the game again. The fact that he has been named as the player of the series in this ODI series against Australia is a clear indication of the same.
Rohit is a generational talent, and he is at the closing stages of his career and these social media trolls appear to have ignited a new fire in him which is ultimately helping not just himself but also the entire team.
