Over the last few weeks, it has been widely speculated in the media that the Rajasthan Royals are trading Sanju Samson to the Chennai Super Kings for Ravindra Jadeja. However, many fans quashed these rumours, saying that CSK would never let go of its star player Jadeja. But the latest rumours revealed that both teams are in advanced discussions about exchanging these players.
As per Cricbuzz reports, Both Sanju and Jaddu are valued at Rs. 18 crores, and the exchange could have been done straight, without any negotiations. But it is being heard that Rajasthan is insisting on another player along with Jadeja to exchange Sanju. Apparently, RR is insisting on getting Dewald Brevis along with Jadeja.
However, CSK seems to be uninterested in letting out any other player other than Jadeja. Especially, they would not let go of Dewald Brevis, because he is their top scorer this year, despite joining the team mid-season. He is also one of the promising T20 players in the current era, and thus, CSK will not be interested in letting him go. It appears that CSK is firm on its decision, and it is RR which has to make a decision now.
It was heard that RR also initiated talks with other franchisees like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders to trade Sanju Samson, but none of the talks materialised. So, it remains to be seen how the negotiations end up between CSK and RR.
