CSK Goes From Daddy’s Team To Young Boys!

The Chennai Super Kings has been one of the most consistent performers in the history of IPL. But the point to be noted here is that even until a couple of years ago, the team was almost entirely loaded with senior players.

The likes of MS Dhoni, Fad du plessis, Shane Watson, Imran Tahir and others were crucial part of the team setup. Most of these players in the IPL team, even 2 to 3 years ago, were consistently aged above 35.

But for a change, CSK has completely changed its method of operations as the team is almost entirely loaded with youngsters and prodigies now. 

-Ayush Mhatre: 18 years
-Kartik Sharma: 19 years
-Prashant Veer: 20 years
-Noor Ahmad: 20 years
-Dewald Brevis: 22 years

These are the ages of the youngsters in the CSK team after the successful auction last night. It is evident that the team is going for a fundamental strong core, which can lead the team for the years to come.

With Dhoni likely to retire not too long from now, it is now the responsibility of the captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to build a strong core team around the youngsters who are available for him.
