India Failure In ODIs: Only He Can Change The Fate?

Team India is in a very problematic position in the ODI format, and this was on blatant display as they lost to the New Zealand. India is simply unable to put up a comprehensible team that has equal strength in batting and bowling.

While Nitish Reddy was expected to be the next big all-rounder for the team, he has been struggling with his consistency in the recent past. 

There is this one player who can be of absolute help to the Indian team at this point in time, and he is non other than Hardik Pandya. He is the kind of player who can almost single-handedly change the complexion of this current team.

Considering the fact that he had recently recovered from an injury, the team management is not rushing into his return in the ODI format and confining him to the T20 format. But this is not proving to be satisfactory in the ODI format as his absence is clearly demonstrating.

Hardik Pandya is a brilliant batsman in high-pressure situations, and he can be of great help in run chases like the 3rd ODI against New Zealand. On top of that, he can solve the crucial problem for India when it comes to picking up wickets in the middle overs.

With Hardik Pandya, back in the team, India will have a strong batting all-rounder, who can also bowl in the middle and pick up crucial wickets. His fielding capabilities are also through the roof.

A lot of positive changes could be observed in the Indian team if Hardik Pandya returns in the ODI format, but considering the slow approach taken by the team management, it has to be seen when this would actually happen.
