Royal Challengers Bengaluru men’s team created history by winning their first ever trophy last year. And now it is the return of the womens team to repeat the honours as they have won the WPL trophy.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru women won the IPL finale against Delhi Capitals last night. They have the title two times now, considering the win this year and the earlier victory, which came in 2024.
RCB was set a pretty significant target of 204 runs by Delhi Capitals, who were absolutely brilliant with the bat. At one point, it looks like RCB are pretty much out of the game, considering the huge target and the nature of the surface.
But RCB was pretty strong in their reply with the bat as they chased this target with two balls to spare and six wickets in hand. The star of the show was Smriti Mandana, who scored a brilliant 87. In the end, RCB chased this target comfortably.
RCB women is now the second team to win the WPL trophy twice as Mumbai Indians had done it already(2023 and 2025).
