Official: How Many Indians Deported In 2025?

It has become more of a phenomenon for the Indian population to travel to United States for employment and job opportunities. The volume of the Indian population that had travelled to the United States in the recent years has been through the roof.

In accordance with this United States authorities have also been taking strong measures to restrict and deport illegal immigrants who don’t have valid paper work or entered the country illegally.

Now the government of India has confirmed in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that nearly 3500 Indians were deported by the United States in 2025.

According to data shared in a written reply by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, a total of 3,414 Indians were deported from Washington till mid-December 2025.

This is largely due to the anti-immigration policy taken by United States president, Donald Trump, and also the deportation activities that he had extensively carried out earlier in his tenure.

According to the ministry, gulf nations of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates together accounted for the largest number of the 168,665 deportations of Indian nationals over the last five years(including all countries). Saudi Arabia alone has accounted for over 1.2 lakh deportations in the last five years.
