The ongoing T20 World Cup started on a controversial note after the ICC kicked out Bangladesh for refusing to play in India. This was followed by Pakistan, threatening to avoid the game against India in support to Bangladesh.
But the repercussions that Pakistan would face if they boycott the game against India are way too severe. They could be losing a significant share in the revenue and also face further sanctions international tournaments.
This has no warranty Pakistan to go back on the decision, and the latest developments are suggesting that the Pakistan cricket board is in talks with the ICC regarding the game against India.
This game is scheduled to be held on February 15, and things could start to get back on track if the talks between Pakistan and ICC conclude successfully. This was always expected to be the case as Pakistan does not have the leverage to threaten India or the ICC in any matter whatsoever.
So it is only natural that the game between Pakistan and India would happen correspondingly. If everything goes as planned, this game could be happening on February 15 in Colombo.
