India Wins 1st Game in T20 World Cup!

The T20 World Cup started today, and India made a comfortable start in the same by winning the first game against the United States. It was not a straightforward win for India, but instead a hard fought one.

At one point in the first innings, India was in a deep trouble at 77-6. But the rescue act from Captain Surya Kumar Yadav ensured that the team ended the innings with a strong score of 161.

In the end, the United States could not come close to this target as they concluded the innings by scoring 132 runs. Interestingly, enough, Mohammed Siraj, who was included in the team only yesterday after the injury of Harshit Rana was absolutely brilliant as he picked up three wickets.

This is a relatively good start to India in the ongoing T20 World Cup and could come a long way in boosting the confidence. India will be facing Namibia and Pakistan in the subsequent games on Feb 12 and 15 respectively.
