The T20 World Cup has started already and India made a positive start with the victory against United States of America. India will be facing Namibia in the next game, which is scheduled for February 12, and the preparations are in full flow for the same.
In this context, the latest developments are suggesting that a significant injury scare was faced by talented young Indian player Ishan Kishan, while practising with the team today.
Reportedly Jaspreet Bumrah was bowling and Kishan in the nets a short while ago, and this was when the latter was hit by searing yorker from the pace gun. Reportedly, Ishan fell on the ground after being hit by the Bumrah delivery, and there were concerns about his injury.
But the lucky thing here is that the talented young batsman could recover quickly from this injury, and he reportedly walk back to the dressing room with a smile on his face. Subsequently, India has managed to escape from what could have been a catastrophic injury.
One of the worst possible ways to lose a player to injury during the World Cup would be other Indian player being the reason. But luckily, India could evade the situation today as Ishan was rather quick to recover from the Bumrah-induced scare.
