Actor In Tihar Jail Over Debts, Bollywood Steps In To Support

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who is one of the fewest Hindi actors to attain fame by doing comic roles, recently made headlines when he was entangled in a legal row in a cheque bounce case that dates back to 2010. He was currently lodged in Tihar Jail. 

Unable to repay 9 Crores debt, which includes the sum he borrowed for making his directional debut Ata Pata Laapata, Rajpal has surrendered before the court after he failed to meet the obligation within the stipulated time despite repeated chances given by the Magistrate. As he was sentenced to 6 months jail, the actor is presently serving the punishment. 

Meanwhile, Bollywood personalities have stepped in to support Rajpal Yadav during the times of crisis and to bail him out of the financial dispute. Actor Sonu Sood, who is well known for his magnanimous heart, came forward first to support him by offering a role in an upcoming film also promised some financial aide. 

Following this, several others also came forward to extend help, including big-ticket names like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Varun Dhawan, who have expressed their willingness to provide financial support immediately after knowing about his actor’s misery. 

Other notable names like Gurmeet Chaudhary and politician Tej Pratap Yadav, who is the national president of Jan Shakti Janata Dal, offered their assistance to the actor in the hour of need. Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav, owner of GemTunes Music, also chipped in join the cause. 

Rajpal Yadav’s manager Goldie has confirmed that many Bollywood artists and technicians have reached out to her to voluntarily extend all possible help to bring the actor out of jail. Meanwhile, his bail plea will once again come to hearing on Thursday. The family and industry people believe that he will be granted bail this time.
