The first official miracle of the ongoing T20 World Cup has happened as a major title favourite has been eliminated from the tournament right in the group stages itself.
Incidentally, Australia has become the first major team to be eliminated from the T20 World Cup as they’ve been sent packing on the back of two defeats against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
Australia has been eliminated from the World Cup and it is Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe who have progressed to the super 8 from this group.
It was expected that Australia will be easily progressing to the next stages of the World Cup and have a real shot at the title. But that’s not the case the now as they’ve been sent out prematurely.
Zimbabwe has created history by progressing to the next stages and it is good to see host nation Sri Lanka also doing well and progress further. They’ve managed to pop out the mighty Australia itself from the tournament.
