India had a very crucial challenge last week with the game against West Indies and it was Sanju Samson, who emerged as an unlikely hero in the same. He was brilliant with the bat and scored a memorable 97 which will go down as one of the best knocks from an Indian cricketer in the T20 World Cup.
However, Sanju Samson did after this historic batting performance has become a topic of discussion.
After playing the most memorable innings of his career, Samson got emotional and threw his helmet on the ground before thanking God.
According to reports on social media, this celebration could cause trouble for him as it may be considered a violation of the ICC Code of Conduct regarding player behavior. Adding to that, a few people even speculated that Sanju Samson could be banned from the next game against England due to the violation of conduct.
Losing Sanju Samson, who has been in brilliant form right during the semifinal stage against a team like England could be a major concern to the Indian team. But the hard factor is that the chances of Sanju Samson actually being suspended for a game are very weak.
According to reports, what Sanju Samson did was just a level one offence in the ICC code of conduct. This violation would generally invite 50% of match fee cut or deduction of 1-2 demerit points. But there is no chance of Sanju Samson being actually suspended from the next game.
So whatever speculation that is going around on Sanju on social media is just unverified noise. Sanju will indeed be a part of the Indian team for the upcoming game against England, and he will have a crucial role to play in the same as well.
