Indian Spirit Shined Bright In T20 World Cup

India has been one of the most consistent teams in the T20 format for the last couple of years, and this is rightly reflected in team India winning the T20 World Cup last night.

While India was always the favourite to win the T20 World Cup, this victory did not come easy to the men in blue. The kind of spirit that was shown by India in the World Cup is absolutely brilliant, and that is for certain.

This happens to be a very crucial World Cup for India as it was not just played in home conditions with the expectations were pretty significant, but India also had the pressure of retaining the World Cup which added more impetus. 

Also, this happens to be the first T20 World Cup for the Indian cricket team without legendary players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. So there was this constant pressure on the young team to deliver beyond expectations, and they could successfully implement the same.

The fighting spirit within the team was reignited after the significant defeat against South Africa, and this changed virtually everything. Sanju Samson was brought up in the place of Rinku Singh, and the team composition was likely changed to accommodate Axar Patel.

More importantly, crucial players like Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma and the greatest of this generation, Jaspreet Bumrah rose up to the occasion. 

This is the kind of collective team spirit that was expected from India after the departure of hallmark place like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and it is good to see them perform on the big stage now.
