People are absolutely amazed by the kind of comeback that anyone can make at any point in their career. Surya went from being a very normal cricketer a decade ago to becoming the World Cup winning captain for India today and this turnaround deserves a lot of respect. 

As far as personal batting form and related backlash goes, there will always be this scrutiny. But the occasion now is far too dominant and captain Surya Kumar Yadav must be paid respect as the captain who created history by leading the team to its first ever T20 World Cup victory at home.
