Finally, Pant Made LSG Ower Happy!

It wasn’t long before Rishabh Pant was seen as the feature of Indian Cricket as such as the kind of potential that he exhibited at the starting stage of his care. But there has been a massive dip in his form in recent years and particularly after the horrifying car crash that happened to him.

Incidentally, Rishabh Pant turned out to be the costliest player in the history of IPL as Lucknow bought him for more than ₹27 crore in the 2025 auction. However, he could not do any justice to this massive pricetag, as he was very mediocre with the bat and also as the captain of Lucknow last year.

But things have changed it considerably the starting stages of the 2026 season of IPL as Rishabh Pant appears to be regaining his form.

This was particularly on display when Lucknow managed to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the game last afternoon. More importantly, Rishabh Pant was absolutely brilliant with the bat as he finished the game of Lucknow while the entire team was struggling to get over the line. His batting performance of 63 runs was the point of difference between the two teams.

Interestingly, When Pant hit the winning shot today, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka thanked God, tears in his eyes. This perfectly shows how significant Pant’s return to form is not just for him, but also for the franchise. After last season’s losses, tensions between Goenka and Pant even went viral in a video where Goenka looked unhappy. But all of that faded away with Pant’s magical knock today.

This would naturally go on as one of the most aggressive and dynamic innings from Rishabh Pant in recent years and Indian cricket fans are hoping that this would be his real comeback origin.

After facing non-stop trolls, through the course of 2025 season Rishabh Pant has bounced back considerably in the ongoing season and the crucial challenge will be to maintain the momentum through the course of the tournament.

Rishabh Pant was always one of the most likeable guys in Indian Cricket, and we are hoping that he gets back to winning ways not just in IPL, but also wrestles his way back into the Indian team.
