Mumbai Indians have lost four games in a row, including the game against Punjab last night, and this has added a lot of pressure on the management and also the team ownership.

There are several posts on social media from Mumbai fans themselves, who have been calling for the removal of Hardik Pandya as the captain.

While many fans have been tagging the Mumbai Indians ownership and management, asking them to remove Hardik Pandya as the captain, a few others are directly tagging Hardik on Twitter and asking him to step down voluntarily. 

This social media movement is just in its early stages now, and it could only get serious from here if Mumbai does not improve their performance. 

The removal of Rohit Sharma and appointment of Hardik Pandya in the first place itself was not received well by fans. Even the dressing room atmosphere appear to be largely distraught with the same. 

And now that Mumbai Indians is struggling to register even a single victory of late, this narrative to Hardik Pandya as the captain is becoming increasingly prevalent. 

But at the same time, it must be noted that this is a reaction from the heat of the moment, and it perfectly understandable. And once Hardik Pandya starts delivering in Mumbai starts winning again, this narrative will go away silently.
