New history has been created in IPL with a remarkable game of cricket unfolding between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings this evening. This game produced the highest run chase in the history of IPL.Delhi batted first and scored a sensational 264 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
Everyone wondered that Delhi might have scored a bit too many runs for Punjab, and they would be winning the game by a comfortable margin.
However, Punjab Kings, who are in the number one position on the point table were in no mood to back down from this chase, as they came out all guns blazing.
As a result, Punjab Kings ended up chasing this significant target of 264 runs comfortably. There were a few contributions from Delhi with their poor fielding which helped Punjab in the process.
Previously, the record for the highest chase in IPL history was recorded by the very same Punjabi team against Kolkata, where they chased down 262. Now the Punjab team has recorded a new sensation again by chasing down 265 runs.
