One of the most celebrated and champion teams in the IPL is Mumbai Indians and the kind of legacy that they had built for themselves over the last couple of decades is extraordinary. However, things have not been going smoothly for Mumbai for the last five years.
Their worries that much more worse this year under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya as Mumbai has become the second team to be eliminated after Lucknow from the ongoing season of IPL.
In a close game between Mumbai and Bengaluru last night, it was Bengaluru which secured the win from the very last delivery. This was a thoroughly entertaining game of Cricket that went till the very last ball where Bengaluru needed 2 runs, and they managed to secure the same.
This result in favour of Bengaluru will push them towards the top of the table while Mumbai Indians will be the second team to be eliminated from the tournament this year.
From being one of the most consistent teams in the history of IPL and also being the initial title favourites for the ongoing 2026 season, Mumbai has ended in agony this year by getting eliminated very early.
RCB is currently in the first position on the table while Mumbai Indians are on ninth position. This will go down as one of the biggest downfalls not just for Mumbai, but also any champion team in IPL history.
