Hardik Returns, Mumbai Humiliated Again!

Mumbai Indians have looked strangely inconsistent, and there seems to be more to it than meets the eye. Without Hardik Pandya, the team has shown a completely different character, while they appear absolutely clueless whenever he is on the field.

Of the last three games that Hardik wasn’t a part of Mumbai, they won 2 while losing one game off the last ball again RCB. Now that he is back in the team with the game against Kolkata, they were again back to their old losing streak.

Mumbai batted first in this game against Kolkata and they got a mediocre 147 runs in the first innings. In response to this, Kolkata was fairly clinical with the bat as they chased down the target with one over to spare.

It is very peculiar to see Mumbai Indians become a completely new and unidentical team whenever Hardik Pandya is back in the squad and leading them. There are many complaints about the chemistry within the team with Hardik Pandya, and this was again on display last night.

Whatever might be the reason, Mumbai Indians went from being one of the all-time gratest in the history of IPL to an absolute shambolic team this year as they’ve lost 9 out of the 13 games they’ve played.
