HBD Dhoni: Telugu States’ Favorite Cricketer

One of the most iconic players of this generation of Indian Cricket Mahendra Singh Dhoni is celebrating his birthday today, July 7, and he is being flooded with wishes on social media.

The interesting observation here is that the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have also come together to celebrate the occasion of Dhoni’s birthday.

In fact, Andhra Pradesh has gone a step ahead as people have assembled a massive 77 feet cut out for Dhoni. This has been arranged on the occasion of Dhoni’s birthday today, and this massive poster is grabbing the attention all over.

Dhoni is one of the biggest names in India and particularly in the Telugu states where he enjoys insane following. It could perhaps be argued that Dhoni is the most followed and supported Indian cricketer in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

India has consistently produced some of the finest cricketers, but very few have managed to earn the kind of massive fan following that Dhoni enjoys. He holds an almost demigod-like status across the country, something that is truly extraordinary.

Dhoni did not play in IPL 2026, but that does not change the fact that he is still the most loved cricketer in the country. He will go down as arguably the greatest captain in the history of Indian cricket.
