Afghan Former IT Minister Turns Pizza Delivery Guy

Following the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, every news about the country and its people is catching the attention of global audiences. Here’s one such instance.

Former Afghan Communication And Technology minister, Syed Ahmad Sadat has turned a pizza delivery guy in Germany now.

Sadat was an integral member of Ashraf Ghani’s cabinet and took charge as Afghan’s Communication and Technology minister back in 2018. He then had differences with Ghani and resigned his post in 2020. Following which, he moved to Germany.

In his early stages in Germany, Sadat had enough money in hand to lead a lavish lifestyle. But the funds melted down quickly and he had to take up a profession for livelihood.

The former minister then decided to take up pizza delivery job. He is currently employed by a pizza outlet in Leipzig, Germany. He can be spotted delivering pizza on his bicycle on the streets of Leipzig.

When asked if he doesn’t feel belittled to have served as a minister in Afghan cabinet and then turning a pizza delivery guy, Sadat says he believes in dignity of labour and there is nothing wrong in it.
