Now Arts & Musical Shows on Sundays @ Tankbund

Recently, the Government of Telangana took the initiative of closing the Tankbund road in Hyderabad every Sunday from 5 PM to 10 PM. During this time, the traffic will be diverted via Lower Tank Bund road.

Minister KTR took this initiative in order to facilitate a fun and traffic-free experience for the families and kids who visit Tank Bund in significant numbers every weekend. The program became an instant success as a lot of families have spent quality time on the Tankbund road and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on Hussain Sagar lake for the last two Sundays.

Earlier this morning, KTR directed IAS officer Aravind Kumar to set up arts, crafts and musical events as well in order to pull more public every weekend. The latter responded on a positive note and assured that the initiative will be implemented immediately.

KTR shared a couple of Tankbund pictures from last night on Twitter and wrote, “Doesn’t that look more like a carnival on #TankBund. Let’s start more kids-oriented activities @arvindkumar_ias. Arts+Crafts+Music will create a Magical experience. Let’s explore a laser show in the lake & some viewer galleries on all sides.”

Responding to him, Aravind Kumar wrote, “Yes sir. Will set out crafts+art+music activities @ Tank Bund on Sundays immediately.”

The government revamped the entire Tankbund road recently and decked it up with clean pathways, seating areas, and beautiful warm street lamps.
