India: 12,881 Corona Cases In A Single Day

Surpassing the previous spikes, India has yet again recorded huge number of cases in the last 24 hours. For the first time, the cases count in a single day has crossed 12,000 mark and 12,881 cases were filed in a single day, yesterday. The total number of cases now stand at 3,66,946.

The only relieving factor is, the number of people recovered of the virus is big than the active cases. 1,94,324 people have recovered and discharged while the active cases count is 1,60,384. 334 people have died in the last 24 hours and the total death tally is now at 12,262.

Coming to the Telugu states, Telangana has gone past Andhra Pradesh. Since a week or so, Telangana is reporting over 200 odd cases every single day and yesterday the state posted 269. Yet the government is not doing tests as per the requirement. Only 1096 samples were collected on the previous day and this very low compared to Andhra Pradesh which is testing close to 15,000 people every other day.

Andhra Pradesh has 5,555 cases as of yesterday 10 AM.
