Viral: Amazon’s Heart-warming Diwali ad!

The second wave of Covid-19 rattled India. People across the country were getting infected with the virus and were getting admitted in hospitals. Beds, medicines and other medical equipment were running out of stock and it was kind of a health emergency in the country.

Especially to get a bed in a government or private hospital, it was a nightmare for people and thousands of people died outside hospitals unable to get a bed. A heart-warming television commercial (Advertisement) based on this was made by Amazon and it has gone viral.

The ad shows a mother and her son in a car. The son has no clue where his mother is taking him and after reaching the destination, the mother explains to her son that when he was in a serious condition in April, out of nowhere, a person helped her to find a bed in a hospital.

As the doors open, we see an oldie and the youngster turns speechless. The oldie recognises the youngster and gives him a heartfelt hug and invites into his home to celebrate Diwali.

“Some Relationships Don’t Have Labels… And That’s What Makes Them Special,” says at the end of the commercial.

That was an emotional one and hope many of us leave the horror of the second wave behind and celebrate Diwali with people who have saved lives.
