The new Covid-19 cases in India are going up with each day passing. In the last 24 hours, a record of 17,296 cases have been filed and this is the biggest spike ever so far. With this the total cases count went up to 4,90,401.
407 people have died of the virus and the death count to crossed 15,000 mark. Currently the total death count is 15,308 as per the World Index. Among the total cases 1,89,463 are active ones while 2,85,673 have recovered of the virus.
ICMR claimed that so far it has tested over 777 Lakh people and in the last 24 hours, they have tested around 2.10 Lakh people.
Coming to the Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh has surpassed 10,000 mark in total cases while in Telangana, the cases are posting in large number. In this view, the Union Health Ministry will be visiting Hyderabad for four days starting from Friday.
