US: All Incoming Passengers Must Carry Negative Covid-19 Test Report

Amid the Omicron scare, the US has been bringing on more rules for passengers entering the country.

The US has made it mandatory for all incoming passengers to carry a negative Covid-19 test report or proof of recovery from the contagion amidst a rising number of cases of the new variant Omicron.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the new rule will be effective from December 6. The new rule is for all passengers 2 years or older boarding a flight to the US.

The negative test for the Covid-19 result should not be older than 1 day before travel. If the passengers earlier contracted Covid-19, the documentation is required to show the recovery in the past 90 days, before they board the flight.

Three more cases of Omicron variant were detected in New York, with which the total number of cases in the state is eight. Also, Massachusetts and Washington reported their first cases on Saturday. Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland reported their first cases already.
