Baba Ramdev and CEO Acharya Balkrishna launched the Ayurvedic medicine kit from Patanjali, claiming it can treat coronavirus patients in seven days. An FIR was filed against Ramdev and five others including Balkrishna, for misleading the people by saying Coronil as potential medicine that can be a cure for the infection.
Now, after the FIR filed against them and the Ayush ministry also asked the details of herbal product ‘Coronil’, in a big U-turn, Balkrishna denies claiming Coronil as medicine for Coronavirus and there is no confusion in it. Balkrishna on Tuesday said they never claimed that the drug can control or cure coronavirus.
The Patanjali CEO further claims that they made medicines and used them in clinical controlled trials. Patanjali on June 23, said it has come up with the ‘research-based medicine’ and conducted clinical trials in joint efforts with NIMS Jaipur.
Ramdev earlier made claims that Patanjali’s research found 69 percent of patients recovered in three days and 100 percent of patients recovered in seven days.
