Fake Pic: Bharat Biotech VP Taking First Vaccine Shot

A picture went viral from today morning that claims Bharat Biotech Vice President Dr. V K Srinivas getting a COVAXIN, vaccine for COVID-19 first shot developed by the firm. Bharat Biotech quickly rubbished the social media post.

The picture turned viral after Bharat Biotech announced getting approvals for clinical trials of the Covid-19 vaccine and ICMR updating the same and the aim to bring the vaccine into availability by August 15 this year. ICMR director said it all depends upon the success of clinical trials.

Bharat Biotech in the latest update clearly mentioned that certain images and messages being circulated on social media platforms have not been disseminated by Bharat Biotech.

In fact, the image going viral is all about a routine procedural blood draw for testing all production staff. So, the picture going viral claiming Bharat Biotech VP being administered the first vaccine shot is a fake one.
