6 Dead, 10 Injured In California Shooting

The gun menace is back in the US. At least 6 people lost their lives and another 10 Injured in a mass shooting incident that occurred in downtown Sacramento, centre of California State capital, at around 2 am on Sunday morning. The Sacramento Police are on a hunt for a suspect in connection with the horrific shooting.

Shortly after the incident, a viral video was published on Twitter in which people were seen running through the street amid rapid gunfire sounds and chaos. The video also showed multiple ambulances at the crime scene. People were advised to avoid the area, which hosts many bars and restaurants, including the London nightclub.

The Sacramento police were patrolling the area when they heard gunfires and found a large crowd gathered on the street and 6 people dead when they arrived at the scene. Authorities are clueless whether one or more suspects were involved in the incident and requested the people for witnesses or anyone with recordings of the incident to contact police.

The Sunday’s incident is certain to intensify the ongoing debate about gun violence and the prevalence of lethal weapons in American society. According to the Gun Violence Archive website, firearms are involved in approximately 40,000 deaths per year in the US, including suicides.
