Mass Shooting At New York Supermarket; 10 Dead

A white gunman motivated by hate killed 10 people and injured three people on Saturday at Buffalo, New York, Supermarket. The news has shaken the entire country and the officials began their investigation into the same.

Going deep into the details, an 18-year-old man, wearing military gear and live streaming with a helmet camera opened fire with a rifle at a Buffalo, New York, supermarket and shot 13 people.

New York Authorities described it as “racially motivated violent extremism”. Buffalo City Court Chief Judge Craig Hannah said that the suspect in the shooting, identified as Payton Gendron, 18, is in custody and pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder charge brought against him in the court on Saturday night.

Among the 13 victims shot dead, 11 were said to be African Americans and two were of white Americans. Four of the shooting victims were store employees, while the rest were customers. It is also confirmed that the Buffalo police officer working security was among those killed.

Earlier in March 2021, a similar attack took place at a King Soopers grocery in Boulder, Colorado, in which 10 people were killed.
