Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh received a huge from electricity provider Adani Electricity as he received a power bill which is seven times than the normal. Taking to his Twitter, Harbhajan complained about this.
‘Itna Bill pure mohalle ka lga diya kya ?? @Adani_Elec_Mum ALERT: Your Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited Bill for 152857575 of Rs. 33900.00 is due on 17-Aug-2020. To pay, login to Net/Mobile Banking>Bill Pay normal Bill se 7 time jyada ??? Wah,” tweeted Harbhajan.
Sometime back, similar situation was reported in Telangana state and many other states. Some citizens with just two persons in their home, received Lakhs and even crore of bills.
These incidents went viral on the social media and the concerned authorities rectified the error. But in Telangana, the state government ignored the citizens’ complaints.
