There was a lot of displeasure expressed all over when Kim Kardashian wore Marilyn Monroe’s iconic ‘ Happy Birthday’ dress for the Met Gala event. Marilyn’s admirers openly said on social media that she devalued and defamed the dress which should be kept in the museum. Many fans of Marilyn Monroe also opined that the dress could be damaged as it is not of Kim Kardashian’s size.
It looks like it happened for real and the dress was seemingly damaged after Kim Kardashian wore it at the Met Gala event. According to the photos posted on Instagram, the Marilyn Manroe’s Jean Louis dress she had when she sang ‘Happy Birthday to President John F.Kenedy in 1962. The one-of-a-kind sheer dress is designed in thousands of delicate crystals and was designed just for Monroe.
Kim Kardashian wore it for the red carpet and changed into a replica immediately after her arrival because the gown is so delicate. But the damage appears to have happened already. The dress appears to be missing crystals and others are falling off. The fabric around the zipper is frayed.
