In yet another horrific incident, a minor girl was abducted and gang-raped in Hyderabad, just four months after another such incident was reported from the Jubilee Hills area.
According to reports, a minor girl went out of her house to purchase some medicines in Dabeerpura police station limits at 8 pm on September 12 when two young men kidnapped her and took her to the OYO hotel room in Nampally area.
The men lodged the girl in the hotel room for two days and raped her one after the other. Later, the victim was left at Chaderghat.
People living in the area found the girl not able to walk and took her home. Apparently, the accused drugged the victim when they raped her.
The victim’s family members lodged a complaint with the police. The accused were identified as Ravesh Mehdi and Mahmadullah, both of whom were taken into custody, from Rein Bazar area.
The police are examining the CCTV footage of the girl’s abduction and forcible shifting to the OYO room.
The victim has been shifted to a Trust Centre where she is receiving medical treatment. The accused have been booked under the POCSO Act.
