Just when we thought the cases count was coming down in India, yet again over 60K cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. Freshly 64,531 cases were reported and the total cases count went up to 27,67,274.
Also once again over one thousand deaths have been reported. 1092 people have died of the virus yesterday and India touched the 53K mark in Covid-19 deaths. Currently the total death count is at 53,014.
Among the total cases, 6,76,514 are active ones while 20,37,871 people have got cured. The Union Health ministry stated that over 60K people recovered yesterday which is a record.
ICMR claimed that 8,01,518 samples were tested yesterday and the total samples tested as of August 18th is 3,17,42,782.
