Delay in onboarding by tech giants like Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra and others made the life of nearly 30,000 youth miserable. While some of them are finding it difficult to repay their education loans, a few others are left in the lurch after having quit their current jobs.
The situation would turn pathetic if the authorities at the big companies do not think about taking a prompt decision, lamented one of the youths who was hired by Infosys and is waiting for onboarding. The induction process had been delayed for nearly 12 months and the techies are finding themselves in a troublesome situation without any task to do till now.
Reportedly, some of them had left stable jobs to join the reputed companies but now, they are left without any option. Many are still waiting for their joining dates.
“I received the appointment letter from Wipro and left my job in a start-up. They paid me well but as Wipro is a reputed firm, I quit the start-up. Nobody is responding to my queries. The HR just sent an automated mail stating that I would be informed 2 months before induction. How should I live till then,” asked one of the youths waiting for onboarding.
