That UK’s youngest Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has a strong cultural and spiritual roots in India is a well known fact. Rishi became the 57th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at the age of 42, also becoming the first Hindu and the first Indian-origin person to hold the highest office.
Now, it’s Rishi’s little daughter Anoushka Sunak’s turn to make headlines. Anoushka, 9, performed Kuchipudi along with several other children at a dance festival in London on Friday. Anoushka’s performance was part of the ongoing ‘Rang’- International Kuchipudi Dance Festival 2022, the largest inclusive inter-generational Kuchipudi dance festival in the UK.
Nearly 100 dancers belonging to the age group of 4-85 years, also including live musicians, elderly contemporary dance artists (65+ years performing group), a wheelchair dancer with learning disabilities, international bursary students from Natarang Group, Poland were also part of this grand event.
Anoushka’s mother and Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy’s daughter Akshata Murty attended the festival, along with Rishi Sunak’s parents, while Rishi was busy overseeing his official duties.
