The United States, the worst-affected by deadly Corona Virus, has recorded 2494 deaths in the past 24 hours. Thus, the total death toll of the US due to Corona is at 53,928. The total count of Covid-19 cases in US is pegged at 9,56,375 i.e close to a million. On Friday, total number of deaths due to Corona in the US were 1258. On Saturday, the deaths have nearly doubled as the deaths were 2494.
The world-wide death toll has surpassed 2,00,000. The total number of Covid-19 positive cases around the globe is close to 3 million i.e 28,93,729. So, one third of world’s Covid-19 cases and one fourth of Corona deaths in the world are in the United States that shows the severity of the situation.
Compared to US, Italy is much better as it managed to control. In the last 24 hours, Italy has reported 415 new deaths and 2,357 new cases of Covid-19. Meanwhile, the death toll in the United Kingdom crossed the tragic milestone of 20,000 on Saturday, up by 813 over the previous day.
