#10YearsofNirbhaya: Nothing Changed Here!

It has been 10 years since the horrific ‘Nirbhaya’ incident took place in Delhi. However the parents of the deceased victim are still not satisfied with the resolutions that took place after that in the country.

On Thursday, the eve of 10 year anniversary of the incident, Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi said more sexual assault survivors are speaking up now which is a positive outcome but she affirmed that except Nirbhaya none of them found justice yet.

The father of Nirbhaya, Badri Narayan Singh lamented that till date there is no safety for women in this country at nights and the criminals continue to commit crimes.

To support their claims, Delhi has notably recorded 13,892 cases of crimes against women in 2021 which is more than 40 percent compared to 2020 when the figure was 9,782.
