World’s richest temple, Lord Venkateswara Swami temple in Tirumala had witnessed large number of devotees being holiday season. From TTD sources, majority of the compartments are still full and it is taking around hours for the Lord’s darshanam.
This rush of devotees has translated into huge donations to the Srivari Hundi and as per TTD, the donations have touched new record.
On the eve of Vaikunta Ekadasi (January 2nd), the Srivari Hundi donations were reported as Rs 7.68 crore. This is a new feat in a single day and previous record was Rs 6.31 crore and it was reported on October 23rd, 2021.
Being beginning of the New Year and with festival falling just on the second day, devotees arrived in Tirumala for Lord’s blessings. Accordingly the donations reflected, estimated the TTD officials.
The donations would further go up for the upcoming Sankranthi festival. Three days, devotees would certainly take time out to visit Tirumala and Vaikunta Ekadasi’s feat might be surpassed during this time.
