#Unlock4: Poor Response To Hyd Metro

After close to six months of shut down, Hyderabad Metro operations have resumed on Monday. In three phases, the metro started its operations and from Wednesday, all the three corridors are fully operational.

However, the response from the Hyderabad public is poor. Before the lockdown i.e, Corona outbreak, daily four lakh people used to travel in metro and now, the passengers count slipped to thousands. As per Metro officials, on the first day merely 10K people travelled in metro while on the second day it is 26K but this is combined of the two corridors.

The Metro officials are confident that gradually the passengers would increase and once the vaccine is out, the metro will be back to its usual business of packed train compartments and rush.

This is expected from the public as each day, India is reporting over 80K cases and so they are preferring their own vehicles and whoever wants to avoid traffic are taking the metro.
