A 29 year old American is set to make history as he is going to feature in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Fast bowler Ali Khan has been signed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and we have to see whether he marks his debut.
England’s Harry Gurney was supposed to play for KKR. Because of an injury, Harry pulled himself out of the tournament and KKR signed Ali Khan. In 2018, the Global T20 Canada was the career turning moment for Khan and he was recognised by West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo.
Eventually Ali Khan made it to Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and in this year’s edition, he was part of Trinbago Knight Rider’s journey to the title. In 2019, Ali Khan’s name popped up in IPL auction but he was unsold. Nevertheless Ali Khan’s dream of playing IPL is coming true!
