Ambati Rayudu Denies Contesting In the Lok Sabha Polls

For the last few months, it has been heavily rumored that former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu will join YSRCP and contest for the Guntur Parliament seat in the 2024 general elections. Putting an end to these rumors, Rayudu said he is not contesting in the Lok Sabha polls. He is yet to take a call on his political entry.

Rayudu met Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, earlier this year. Later, he often posted positive tweets about the YCP government on Twitter. Recently, he met Jagan once again after winning the IPL. When asked about these frequent meetings, Rayudu said he met Jagan to discuss sports development in the state and nothing else.

Recently, Ambati Rayudu visited Phirangipuram in the Guntur district. He visited a temple and met schoolchildren in the village after that. Speaking to the media there, Rayudu said that he is currently trying to know the problems of the public and farmers.

“As of now, I want to do public service. How and in what capacity will be decided in the coming days,” said Rayudu.
