A software engineer fell to death after he was trying to escape from thieves who planned to rob his mobile phone. Going into details, the incident took place in Bibinagar.
The victim was identified as Srikanth and he was working as a software engineer at Infosys. On Wednesday evening Srikanth boarded Satavahana express from Secunderabad to Kazipet. At Bibinagar, Srikanth was walking next to the railway track.
Two thieves were reportedly waiting with sticks and suddenly launched an attack on Srikanth. They tried to snatch his phone away from Srikanth and he tried to escape and in this process, he fell on the railway track leading to his death.
The local police and South Central Railway have registered a case and are investigating the case. The police have deployed teams to nab the culprits and are collecting evidence from eyewitnesses.
