A police officer from Seattle hit and killed an Indian student Jaahnavi Kandula in January this year. The bodycam footage of the cop captured the death of Jaahnavi and it was released now. The incident happened when she was crossing the street.
Jaahnavi Kandula was a student at Northeast University and was killed on January 23. The newly released bodycam video showed the moment the Seattle officer struck and killed an Indian grad student while responding to a call.
The police officer admitted later that he made a mistake after fatally hitting a grad student without his siren at 74 miles per hour. He said, ‘I f**ked up’.
The officer Kevin Dave was responding to a high-priority call at upwards of 74 mph when he hit and killed Jaahnavi Kandula in a crosswalk at 8 pm on January 23.
