After six months Taj Mahal invites visitors

Due to the global pandemic, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal was shut since March third week. After six months of closure, the iconic love symbol reopened on Monday for the visitors.

However, this resumption comes with many restrictions and guidelines imposed by the Centre. Only 5,000 tourists will be allowed each day at the Taj Mahal and visitors are asked to wear masks as mandatory. The tickets are made online while counters are closed for physical contact purpose. Group photography is also banned at this monument.

Thermal screening and temperature check are placed at the entry of the Mahal. All the visitors are being thoroughly scrutinized before letting them in. The Agra Fort which is adjacent to Taj Mahal has also reopened and the same restrictions would apply here as well.

As per the official stats, nearly seven million people visit Taj Mahal every year and this is for the first time, the iconic structure remained closed for a period of six months.
